Kınık Vocational High School

Our school was created in 1983 as an industrial vocational high school with Electrical department. In 1985, chemistry technologies department was created. In the following years, machinery technologies, electronics, accounting and finance, food technologies and information technologies departments started to operate within our school.

Our school merged with Kınık Multi-program Anatolian High School in 2022, with the child development and beauty services departments, the number of existing departments has reached 8. We have 74 teachers.

For people to survive, they must have a profession. We can only gain this with vocational high schools. In this direction, in our school where 476 students are educated, workshops and

laboratories suitable for vocational education, 23 classroom, 1 music classroom, 1 library also with modern books, 1 meeting room, 2 equipped conference halls where theatrical and artistic activities can be held, 1 cafeteria and 1 dining hall are put into service. There is also a dormitory in our school, which was put into service in 1983 with a bed capacity of 156.There are 4 study rooms,1 TV Room and 1 game room where our students play table tennis, chess and billiards in the school dormitory.

Students who graduate from Kınık MTAL are qualifying to work as a technician. Workplace Establishment Certificate and a Europass Certificate are given to them to find a qualified job both in Turkey and European Union countries.

The institution main actions are :

- to be the best institution that trains technical manpower for the needs of the region we are in.

- to enable students to express themselves better, improve communication skills

- education and support of youth, also people who belong to socially disadvantaged groups

- supporting of scientific and cultural values by workshops, conferences, publications.

- reduce the disparities in development between rural and urban communities.

- Main achievements and results :

- 2 of our students achieved good level of performance in national robotics competition (Teknofest)

- For four years we achieved 4006 Tubitak STEM projects as science fest.

- In 2015 - 2017, approximately 400.000 $ of finance was provided to our school in the projects carried out with the Izmir Development Agency. teachers attended vocational courses related to the acquired equipment

What are the organisation's activities in the field of this application?

One strategic goal of the our school is to develop innovation and technical experimentation, and, to this purpose, to create and reinforce partnerships with educational and non-educational structures in Turkey and abroad.

Our school has previously participated in national level robotics and technology competitions, but it is aimed to increase our international experience in this field. In these national organizations, various projects have been developed to raise awareness among students in specific areas such as robotics, arduino programming, virtual reality, power saving, smart home systems, renewable energy sources and clean energy.

We want to conduce to a global project with our teachers and students who have gained sufficient experience locally, and also benefit from the experiences of other partners.
